Wisconsin based Intellivisit continues to expand.  According to recent filings at the SEC, the company raised $692k this month from undisclosed investors.

The company was founded in 2014 by Jay Mason, Jeff Miller, and Michael Eaton.  Since its inception, the company has expanded to serve customers in six states including many areas of Wisconsin.  This expansion has been backed by more than $3 million in investment over that time, and it represents another component of the growing health software tech ecosystem in Wisconsin.

The company provides software that “assist(s) patients and providers with the technical and cognitive work of medicine.”  Using a consumer app, patients are able to receive virtual diagnoses from health care providers and their organizations.  This software requires a strong mobile framework for the patients and a robust platform for the providers.  However, Intellivisit’s secret sauce is its ability to provide artificial intelligence that aids the human diagnostician without eliminating the personal touch.

In reading a variety of testimonials and reviews, Intellivisit appears to dramatically improve the experience of busy people seeking advice regarding simple symptoms or regular complaints (inconvenience of service for a “minor issue”, inconvenient due to proximity or experience, etc.).  This type of startup appears to be growing in popularity across the region, but Intellivisit appears to be a step ahead, including a relatively dispersed workforce with leaders and employees around the country.

According to Pitchbook, the Intellivisit fundraising is one of sixty-two that have taken place in Wisconsin so far this year for a total of $160+ million in venture funding in the state.
